The Electrochemical Safety Research Institute's (ESRI) Vice President and Executive Director, Dr. Judy Jeevarajan, will speak on Jan. 8 at 9:00 a.m. PDT on the topic, "Rechargeable Batteries in Consumer Tech - A Path to Sustainability?" The discussion will focus on avoiding thermal events in recycling and waste systems and the impact of new mandates on battery removability, producer responsibility and right to repair.
